As content creators, experts and purpose-driven entrepreneurs… what holds us back from sharing our authentic message and making our impact usually isn’t a lack of strategy, or not knowing “what to do”.

When we feel stuck, we often think it’s because of something external, but what I’ve realized from my own life is that most of the time…

The thing holding us back is ourselves. Our own limiting beliefs, thoughts and stories.

Inside this post I want to share the 3 most common and paralyzing beliefs that will completely rob you from getting your authentic message out online, serving your tribe and doing your most fulfilling, and impactful work online.

1. “I’m not good enough yet”

I’m not sure we can permanently “cure” imposter syndrome. The feelings of not being good enough or not fully deserving to be where we’re at is something we all deal with from time to time.

However… the way to shift this belief so it doesn’t hold you back from taking action on sharing your message and doing your best work, is to remember WHY you’re doing this in the first place…

…and shift the focus from you, to the people you want to serve.

You don’t have to be the best in the world and better than everyone else at what you do.

You just have to be able to provide a result for people that will help them get from where they’re currently at, to where they ultimately want to be. And help them do it faster, simpler, with less struggle than they would on their own.

With where you’re at right now, and with your current level of expertise…

Who can you help? What big problem can you solve for them? What transformation or outcome can you provide for them, that they want and would be willing to pay you for?

Take the pressure of yourself to know everything. Or to be everything to everyone.

Share your authentic message, practice self-awareness and take action with the confidence of knowing there are people right now who may be 2 or 3 steps behind you, who need your help and would get amazing value from what you have to offer.

2. “I need a huge following or big list”

This is something we’ve been conditioned to believe by people who more times than not are selling “how to grow a huge following / big list” courses.

Don’t get me wrong though. Always be focusing on growth. Having a list and a loyal following is super-important.

But you don’t need a huge audience to start.

If you have 10 people following you right now, make it your mission to serve those 10 people to your best ability and give them all you got.

If you do a webinar and only 5 people show up, treat it the same way you would if you were speaking to an audience of 500.

This is how we grow. This is how we make a real impact.

When we shift putting the focus all on from growing our numbers, to serving our people. Regardless of the size.

All it takes is one testimonial to explode your business. All it takes is one person telling their community about the quality of your work for you to be flooded with referrals.

All it takes is one person supporting and believing in you and your message for you to be on your path to making your biggest impact.

3. “No one will pay you for your knowledge & expertise, when they can get similar information for free online”

“Why would people pay for this, when they can find it for free online?” – I’ve heard this question many times when speaking to people who just don’t quite “get it” yet.

I want to share something that made a huge impact on my business, and will hopefully shift the way you market and package your expertise forever…

People aren’t paying for your information. They are investing in their own transformation.

We don’t sell info. We sell results. We sell solutions. We sell outcomes.

When a person invests in a personal trainer at the gym, or an online fitness coach.. are they paying to learn how to do sit-ups, burpees and bench press?

No.

That fitness coach isn’t selling a workout plan, he’s selling confidence in your skin when you hit the beach, or lay in bed at night next to your partner.

He’s selling more energy to be productive, creative and do your best work. He’s selling the opportunity to stay healthy as you grow older and be able to be active with your kids and grandkids.

People buy because they trust he can help them get these results in less time, and with less effort and struggle, than it would take trying to figure it out all on their own.

People want transformation. That’s the real product we sell.

And as long as you can deliver that, there are people right now who will happily pay you for what you know.

I hope you now have a greater sense of confidence in sharing your message and taking action to continue growing your business.

There are people who need you, and the faster you overcome the limiting beliefs and mental roadblocks holding you back… the faster you can go out there and serve them.

Remember: You are good enough, you can start now even if you don’t have a big following… and there are people right now willing to pay you for the results you deliver for them.

Get out of your own way, and go out there and make your biggest impact.
